Kim Clancy

Completing her formal studies in 2000, Kim has gained extensive experience in the areas of:

  • Government mental health assessments
  • Occupational psychology and rehabilitation
  • Public mental health, and
  • Private clients

Kim relies on evidence based, psychological interventions tailored to the needs of each client. She has training and experience in:

  • Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT)
  • Psychodynamic Therapy
  • Affect Regulation Therapy (ART)
  • Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Solution Focused Therapy
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

Kim takes care to establish a supportive therapeutic relationship with you, assisting you to work towards your identified goals. Helping you build on your strengths and reach your potential.

Kim is also a Board-Approved Supervisor, she is qualified to provide supervision to psychologists as well as provisional psychologists.

  

Sharyn Bunn

Qualifications

Children, Adolescents and Adults. She has a high level of expertise with regards to trauma, personality disorders, mood and anxiety disorders as well as psychosis.

Sharyn has been a fully registered psychologist since 2000 and has expertise in the area of mental health (both inpatient and community settings) as well as the area of emerging mental health difficulties with adolescents; forensic and justice settings; occupational psychology; family violence; critical incident stress debriefing; refugee and asylum seeker populations; and private clients.

Sharyn employs an eclectic framework and uses evidence-based methods to guide her practice including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT); Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT); Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT); Brief Solution Focused Intervention; Interpersonal Therapy; Rational Emotive Therapy (RET); and mindfulness.

Sharyn uses a strength-based approach and takes care to work with you to ensure accurate problem specification and goal identification.

 

Luke Bamford

Luke is currently completing his final year in the Master of Psychology (Clinical Psychology) with the Cairnmillar Institute and is a registered Psychologist with AHPRA. Luke has experience working across the lifespan with children, adolescents and adults, in individual and family settings.

Luke utilises an integrative and client-centred approach, with a focus on working collaboratively with clients to address areas that are troubling them, in the context of their life experiences. He has experience working with mood and anxiety disorders, personality disorders, trauma and difficulties with drugs and alcohol. Luke integrates and tailors his approach to meet each person's needs, with training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy & Psychodynamic Therapy.

 

Jovan D. Vinaj

Darian Winspear

Darian has completed his Master of Psychology (Clinical) with the Cairnmillar Institute and is a registered Psychologist with AHPRA. Darian has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, spanning a diverse range of ages and backgrounds.

Darian aims to work with the client to find an integrative therapy style which best suits their needs. He has experience working with mood and anxiety disorders, OCD, personality disorders, trauma, and substance use issues. Darian has training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness.

 

 

Sian Fowler

Sian has completed her Masters of Counselling and Psychotherapy with the Australian College of Applied Psychology (ACAP). Sian has experience working therapeutically with both adolescents and adults, as well as experience in Child Neuropsychological research (MCRI). Sian has a theoretical foundation in psychology, graduating from her Honours in Psychology in 2016 with First Class Honours (UniMelb).

Sian’s therapeutic style is evidence-based, collaborative and flexible according to the needs of the client. Sian predominantly utilises Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), while integrating her training in Person-Centred Therapy, Contemporary Psychodynamic therapeutic models, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and trauma and grief interventions, in order to find the best fit with the client. Sian believes in building a strong therapeutic relationship with her client’s, based upon empathy and genuine interaction.

 

Bruce Young

  • Promotion of safe and respectful relationships

Bruce  employs evidence-based, client-centred methods to guide his practice including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT); Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and mindfulness (ACT); Schema therapy; Rational Emotive Therapy (RET); Existential Psychology and Harm minimisation. Bruce uses a strength-based approach and is enthusiastic about attending to client’s needs.

 

 

Owen Walker

Owen has completed the Clinical Masters component of his post-graduate study, and he is currently undertaking the doctoral program. Owen has experience working with individuals across the full age range. Owen largely employs a person-centred and psychodynamic approach but also implements CBT and ACT where appropriate. Owen is experienced in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of complex psychopathology and has worked in both private practice and in public mental health settings. Owen can work with people across a range of needs, to achieve their individual goals.   

 

 

Merel Richert

Merel completed her Master studies (2016) and is currently registered as a psychologist in Australia with AHPRA. Merel is a caring, open and honest person with a warm, genuine and empathetic approach. She takes the time to develop a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship with the client. 

Merel relies on evidence based, psychological interventions which she is able to adapt to the needs of each client.

Merel is trained in the areas of: Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) & Psychodiagnostic Assessment. 

Merel has extensive experience, varying from Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT), Exposure therapy, Client centred and Solution Focused Therapy to Mindfulness, Relaxation and Breathing techniques. With the younger clients she has a preference to use a playful approach to CBT with EMDR if necessary and will collaborate with clients to achieve their desired goals, develop their personal insight and provide strategies and support (also from the family) to help them manage their mental health issues.


 

Richard Clark

Richie is a registered psychologist and a member of the Australian Psychological Society. Richie’s therapeutic approach is built upon a person-centred framework that aligns with his values of compassion, authenticity, collaboration, and personal growth. Richie has experience working with adults and adolescents with a range of presentations including depression, anxiety, stress, grief, low self-worth, interpersonal issues, complex trauma, and alcohol/drug related issues. Richie is also experienced at facilitating group programs involving mindfulness and emotion regulation strategies.

Understanding that every individual is unique, Richie tailors evidence-based treatment approaches to his clients’ needs and goals. Richie has knowledge and training in several therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness based approaches.

 

 

Lisa Horton

Administration Officer

I am dedicated to keeping our practices running smoothly and effectively not only for our team but for our clients as well.  I have an extensive administration background, working in welfare and community organisations, both government and private sectors for over 20 years. 

It’s my job to know all of the details regarding the various billing systems the practice offers including Medicare, Private Health funding, EAP, WorkCover and TAC. When you call us, most likely it will be me answering the calls and helping you with any queries including bookings for each clinician. 

My aim is to make the client’s experience at Bendigo Psychology a warm and friendly one.
